Beginning of February 2020, including Frary Peak at Antelope Island

Sometimes Wyatt goes out to sled in shorts and a t-shirt.

We went to visit Grandma and Grandpa's puppies.

And went for a little walk.

Orrin got a tooth pulled.

Brett made some Zopf for a ward family history night.

Boys being cute.

Navy cut her own hair. :( So we took her to the hair stylist to try to salvage it.

Another FHE at Megan's house.  (Little did we know that this would be the last month we could gather in such a large group for a long time.)

Jethro made it up from Provo.

We slept over at Megan's house and the next day we met Kami's family at Antelope Island and we hiked the Frary Peak trail.  It was gorgeous.

Hiking with that view of the Great Salt Lake was niiiice.

About this point most people stopped to wait for the ones behind, and turned around.

Jethro, Orrin, and I went on to see if we could make it to the summit.

We made it up to this tower.  By then there wasn't really a clear trail.  A few footprints in the snow, but even they petered out.

We did a little scrambling and climbing up some rocks, but then we decided we just really couldn't make it to the very very top of the summit since it was sketchy and there were no tracks to show us the right way.  But we did get very close.  It's a 7 mile trail (out and back) and rated as difficult, so I was impressed with us --especially Orrin!!!-- for almost making it.  And obviously, if it weren't for the snow covering the trail, we WOULD have made it.

On the way down, the sole of my shoe came unglued and started flapping, so I asked the next few hikers we passed if they had any duct tape, and one of them actually DID, so he gave me some.  Which worked not at all.  It came off in like 2 seconds.  Then I used my ponytail holder to hold it on, but eventually it just came all the way off.

They were one of the pairs of hiking boots that dad gave me before I moved to Switzerland, so they were definitely older.  And actually my feet didn't even get wet after the sole came off, so kudos to Merrells.

Then we drove Jethro back to Provo.
