Friday 14

1. I don't like having a husband who is stressed to the max. It makes me stressed too. Oh, thesis--when will you be done?!

2. I was at a Relief Society function last night and I sat next to some wonderful women and we were filling out a questionnaire. One of the questions was what are some of your likes and dislikes. I told them I had written housework as a dislike, and they said, "Oh, I like housework! It is therapeutic." There are really so many better women in the world than myself. Therapy to me is a walk by myself, or lying on the couch, or frittering away my time on the internet, or reading a good book or sleeping. Not housework. Especially not when whatever I do gets undone in about 30 seconds.

3. It's bad to bring kids to aerobics. They interrupt so much.

4. It's good to bring kids to aerobics. They interrupt so much.

5. I need to make bread because we're all out.

6. I need to go to the store to get milk to make bread because we're all out.

7. But two kids are napping so we won't be going for a couple hours.

8. And yet, there is no milk to start making bread which takes quite a while to make. Ruff.

9. Have I mentioned Goodwill is my best friend? I got some shorts and jeans there yesterday and a really really cute denim skirt for Hazel and some square cake pans. I go to Goodwill to pass the time when Hazel goes to Joy School. Maybe I should start doing something else, like go to the mall. I would probably save money. :)

10. Oh yeah, which reminds me, the cute brown pants that I got there which I posted a picture of once, do a really weird color-changing thing. Last night I wore them to the RS thingee, and when I put them on in my house they were definitely brown. When I got to the church they were olive-green. I was like "I promise my outfit matched when I put it on!"

11. Jethro got recommended to go to the school corporation's Challenge Program, a K-12 program "designed for high ability students that have the ability to move more quickly yet delve more deeply into certain subject areas." Go Jethro! That's pretty cool, but hopefully we will not be here next year.

12. Brett went to work at 5:00 yesterday and didn't come home until 9. I feel like he is this good-looking stranger who comes and sleeps with me every night, but is gone before I wake up. It could be a fairy-tale.

13. What should I make for dinner tonight? That is ALWAYS the question.

14. Today I was practicing the organ really quick, and Hazel and Ethne were playing. First, Hazel told Ethne to sit on one of the benches and stay there! and then she went up behind the music stand and started leading the music. She said, "We're playing church." Then, they started running around and she said, "Now we're playing that we're the naughty children at church."

Kayli,

Could I get you to send me your bread recipe - pretty please? I've heard it's the best around - and the ones I've tried just aren't that good. Also, do you use a bread maker or the oven?

So, I finally went to the Goodwill a few months ago. I got a hidious skirt but an hour at my sewing machine and it was feeling much better. Now I have a Goodwill reclaim bug in me but need to find time to go again. And I know what you mean about your fairytale husband. I'm living that same one.

Kayli, you crack me up!!! Thanks for cheering me up today! That story about Hazel and Ethne made me laugh so hard. Also about bringing children to aerobics. I've been lazy lately, I need you're motivation. Sigh. I can't wait till you come--you should come for Ana's birthday. Really.

Your humor cracks me up! Oh, I just had to tell you that you inspired me to go to the Goodwill and because of that I found a BRAND NEW looking GAP jean jacket for Morgan and a super nice shoulder bag for Kent all for the whopping price of $2.99 each!!!! Whoo-who! And that story of the girls at church is so funny - naughty little girls! :)

Oh, also, don't you normally make a bunch of food and freeze it? So I'm surprised you don't have anything for dinner! I, too, HATE figuring out what to make! Plus I hate having the same old things all the time. Your fairy tale is too funny!
