I somehow convinced Brett to take a couple days and head up to Megan and Jared's cabin. We only stayed one night, but had a glorious time. First the boys did a little riding, which Navy loved.
Hazel, Ethne, and I just walked around for a bit.
Then we had fun around the fire and played with a horse skull.
The boys went on another ride in the morning.
Then we borrowed Megan's tubes and went to the river and floated. It was soooo fun!
I wish that I had a water-proof camera because it was so magically beautiful and fun!
Then we went to my favorite place--Bloomington Lake. I just love it. The rope swing is just so wonderful. And we came close to golden hour, which is so beautiful.

Brett hates hates hates that road up to the lake, and it was worse carrying our dirt bikes on the trailer, so on the way back he just decided to ride the bikes to the end of the road. Much better that way, because driving that road makes him cranky. :)
It was a fantastic little getaway!! Thanks so much to Megan and Jared for sharing their cabin with us and their tubes and everything!
