I LOVE this picture. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes pictures at times like these, THEN comforts the kid.
Hmm...there's a scholarly article! "Changing Mother-Child Dynamics in a Blogging World." But honestly, a lot of the time something happens and I think, "ooh. blog post!" or I carry my camera everywhere and try to create bloggable moments to photograph. And instead of saying, "Mommy! Look at me!" they say "Mommy! Take a picture!"
Sorry I haven't been very good about commenting lately. Thanks for your comments though. To answer your question, I am going to try and make a 3-D tractor cake for Chandler's b-day. We'll see if it works! Other than that, it is the day after Thanksgiving and we'll be in Pennsylvania with some family so we'll have a little celebration.
Yes Yes Yes! I really enjoy when people capture the real moments, not just the posed, beautiful ones. This is motherhood! Thanks for showing normal life.
There is nothing more admirable than when two people who seeeye to eye keep house as man and wife, confounding theirenemies and delighting their friends. --Homer, Odyssey

Now the thing about having a baby - and I can't be the first person to have noticed this - is that thereafter you have it.
