So, I was tagged by Christy to write seven random things about me. I did one before that was 5, I think, and I had a hard time coming up with that many, so we'll see if I can get seven.
1. Brett says he thinks I have the cutest feet. I think that's sweet, and I secretly agree.
2. I got the highest ACT score out of my family. But who's keeping track? And I think people that gloat are really immature. ;)
3. I got my wedding band last year on our 5th anniversary, but the really cool thing about it is that Brett MADE it for me. Out of some scrap titanium he found in the machine shop at school. It's awesome and I love it.
4. I used to love reading in a tree. I'd also love bringing icecream up and eating it while reading.
5. I swallowed a minnow once at Girl's Camp to gross out some other girls. I got the idea from my brother Derek who swallowed a minnow once to gross out me and my sister(s?).
6. hmmmm, can't think of anything else. Maybe I'll come back to it. Okay, I chew my fingernails and though my husband *DESPISES* it with a passion, I have no real desire to quit.
7. The songs we're singing in church this Sunday are 'True to the Faith,' which is a fabulous hymn but very hard to play (on the organ). I've had to practice a lot, so I'm crossing my fingers that there will be no major embarrasing fumbles on Sunday. Also, 'God of our Fathers, Whose Almighty Hand' which is an AWESOME song for the organ. Seriously, pull out the trumpet stops and play the little fanfare--it rocks. Totally good for the organ but not nearly as flashy on the piano. Okay, that wasn't really about me but it works.
Now I tag Kami and Kris, and whoever else wants to play.
What else has been going on? We went geocaching on Sunday and it was really fun. It was the first time that I was the one to find the cache. The kids always think their "treasures" are so exciting, no matter what dinky cheap toy it is. And we had a really nice walk. Brett kept telling me to turn off the camera, but there were such cute flowers. And cute people through the leaves (can you see them?). Fun fun fun. If you haven't tried geocaching before, try it!!! You'll like it. www.geocaching.com
Ethne had her six month check up and weighed 14 lb 4.5 oz. --almost exactly twice her birthweight of 7 lb 2 oz. In fact, she went down on her growing curve, but probably because she's been rolling and scooting so much lately, and hasn't started eating any of the solids I've been trying to give her. She is such a cute LITTLE cute girl. It's like a little treat every morning to go in and pick her up and give her a kiss.
Sewing is addicting.
Brett and Jethro are going on a Fathers/Sons campout tonight and it sounds like they have some awesome stuff planned--capture the flag, then a hike in the morning with fun activities and primary-themed stuff. He's excited.
A very nice person in my ward named Tanya babysat Jethro and Hazel today so I could practice the organ, and she painted Hazel's fingernails and they're so cute. I don't think I've ever painted my fingernails or toenails since Hazel's been alive to see it. Aha, that gives me an idea for another random thing...I'll go put it up.
And, well, I need to go do dishes. For real this time. Have a great day.

I'm way excited to sing those songs in sacrament meeting on Sunday. I've played "True to the Faith" a couple times for sacrment and I now think that it's easier to play on the organ then the piano. And far more cool too. I'm completely jealous that you get to play "God of our Fathers..." because I've never gotten to play it. I specifically remember that that was the hymn for the week we were gone to Idaho last summer. I was really looking forward to it, but had to miss it. sigh. Go for those trumpets!
Well, Kayli, I beat you to it! I just finished typing in a bunch of things about myself on my blog, so you'll have to sit down and read them. Surprisingly I could think up quite a few once I got going. It was actually kind of fun sitting back and thinking about the things I like/dislike and my personality!
You guys are such a fun family! I haven't been geode caching since high school! Fun pictures too!
