Yahoo!! YAHOO!!! yahoo! YaHoO!!!!!!!!!! My WONDERFUL WONDERFUL COOL SWEET AWESOME SISTER KAMI IS MOVING TO CHICAGO!!!! I will be a lone woman in the midwest NO LONGER!!!!!! And we are going to play play play play play play play! Kami, Brett said that if I call around and get veggie oil for him I can drive there as often as I want. (He's also says he'll have to teach me how to change the fuel filter in case the need should arrive.)
And, to finally assuage everyone's curiosity (at least everyone who was not in church with me this morning), my calling is: ward organist. Can we say scary? But, I suppose it could be worse--I have had some experience with the organ, but that was in high school, a long time ago, and I haven't touched an organ in the interim. Interesting how many people on this blog are either organists or married to organists. Three. Funny. But ANYWAY--I think I figured out how to make my millions. I'm going to market a game to the LDS culture called "Where in the Ward is Carmen Sandiego" and you have to figure out what calling the 'suspect' is getting before the deadline (Sunday) and you can get clues by talking to certain people in the ward, etc. Yeah. It's gonna be huge. People will get addicted. Especially Master Sleuth Ginger. ;) Thanks everyone for playing.
So, Friday I made some party hats for my sister. She wanted me to make them for her for her ward's Enrichment night. (Even though it's not called that anymore.) So, the deadline was getting close, so I called Katrina to help me. [THANKS KATRINA!!] Good thing I did--she was enormously helpful and so very creative. Here's how they turned out:
In other news, Brett took the kids to the Bug Bowl on Saturday in the snow while I stayed home and cleaned the fridge and tried to mop the floor, but didn't get that far before Ethne woke up. BUT, I DID get it mopped eventually and my house was pretty clean. So Katrina, come see it now--I was pretty embarrassed at the mess you saw it in on Friday. Today we finally wrote our Will, so now we can die without feeling guilty. ;) We had a very fun couple over for dinner today, the Empeys. They are very funny, according to the prophecy. Ha ha. What else? I put Hazel's hair in curlers last night so it was SOOOO beautiful today, so I bribed Hazel with a brownie to go out and take a few pictures and she looked like a beautiful doll. Then, I told Brett I'd make it worth his while if he came out. So I even got some fun pictures with him and the kids. Fun fun fun for me.
Well, I'm going to blog about my sister Kami, cause she's the most stellar sister in the entire universe!!!! but I will use a separate post for that. Have a nice night.

I love the pict of Jethro in the air and the sepia one of Hazel. You're an amazing photographer! I'll help you call place for veggie oil!!
I knew it! I should always follow my gut instinct. And that game idea would be totally awesome! They already have Mormonopoly, and someone told me they have a mormon version of "Mad Gab", so I think there is totally a market for LDS based games. Instead of "Carmen San Diego" it could be "Molly Mormon", or "Peter Priesthood"or something. So cool. And congrats on your new calling!Good luck! You will do great!
There's a game kind of like that called Split the Ward. Okay, it's not really like what you described but you have to give people callings and fill all your auxiliaries. How the heck do you spell that? Never mind. I looked it up and that is right. Weird.
Congrats on being the organist.
So fun that you'll have someone living so close! I need somebody to move to Boise!! Organist would definately scare me.. but I'm sure you'll be great. LOVE Hazel's hair!
That picture with Jethro in the air is amazing. I love it.
Ward organist huh? How scary. I guess you will be on time every sunday huh? If you already are, that's amazing. Having kids has made it much more difficult for me to be on time. Especially on Sundays that John has lots of meetings before church.
I knew I was forgetting to comment on something. The Bug Bowl. We really want to come back and go to the bug bowl one of these years. Emily still talks about going to the bug bowl and eating a chocolate covered cricket. Gross! The bug bowl gets talked about quite often in our household. Alexa really wants to go see it.
I'm not the only master Sleuther, I bet that you would be great too. You always have a way of finding stuff out. You would make a fortune on that game. I'll be the first to buy it.
I'm totally jealous. Wish my sister was moving close to me. :( I am WAY excited for you though! How fun.
Loved the pics, too!
Loved the pictures - especially the second one of Hazel! Very cute! I am stayhing up way to late reading this site - but it is very entertaining. Megan
Ya, I read your will - how rude not to leave your kids with me or someone else in either family!! Maybe I'll just steal them - what will you do about it if you're dead?? Megan
