So, our second day in Austria, we took our hotel person’s advice and went to this place called the Lautascher Geisterklamm. Geisterklamm means Ghost Ravine. The hotel guy said it was a fun walk for kids and it really was. There were a lot of little things to do and see and read along the way. Also it was beautiful.
Here’s a quote that was on one of the signs.
Chimes.
The rainbow snake.
Gong.
Toad.
Pals.
Rock.
Thingee that showed how sediment falls and creates new landscapes.
Listening to the roaring water.
Bell family on bridge.
Cute kid.
So during our walk I started singing the song that goes
There was a hole, (repeat)
In the middle of the ground, (repeat)
The prettiest hole, (repeat)
That you ever did see, (repeat)
And the green grass grew all around, all around, and the green grass grew all around.
So anyway, Jethro started going a bit crazy and went on to say that in the nest there was an egg, and in the egg there was a half-formed chick, and in that half-formed chick there was some blood, and in that blood there was some plasma, and in that plasma, there was some H2O, and in that H2O there was some Oxygen, and in that Oxygen, there was some atoms, and in those atoms, there were some quarks, the prettiest quarks that you ever did see.
Jethro was hilarious, but just a word to the wise, don’t start singing that song unless you want to hear it for the next several hours.
