I don't know why, but lately I've felt like I've had so many things I've been wanting to do that I've been running around in a circle like a crazed chicken doing NONE OF IT. It was Jethro's spring break week last week, and we didn't do anything really extraordinary. I don't know. Anyway, here are just a few catch up pictures.
First of all, Hazel got her ears pierced!!! That was her prize for no longer wetting the bed.
I think she is sooooo cute! But I admit to being a little nervous that I would be kicked out of the family or something for letting my 4-year-old get her ears pierced, because we had to wait until we were 12. It was also funny that two of the people I told said, "And Brett was okay with that?" Hee hee. (And yes, he was, by the way.) :)Today we went to a Purdue farm for a Joy School field trip. We saw lots of animals and it was fun.
Cupcakes I made for FHE treats last night. You can find the instructions on familyfun.com
And lastly, some pictures of the kids with some chicks that our friends have. Fun springtime stuff.

I hear you are the running in circle thing. : D
Loved the cupcakes! Cute!
...and she looks SO happy to have her ears pierced. We were never allowed to have our ears pierced at any age. My mom freaked when I left home and the first thing I did was pierce them. LOL! My girls were in Grade one when I had their ears pierced for them. If it's what a girl wants and her daddy is okay with it......why not.
Chris wanted Alexa's ears peirced when she was a baby and I said no, it has to be when she is 16. So we met in the middle and said fine 8 when she is baptized. Well then he wanted age 2 and I said no so we met at 5 and on her 5th b-day she got it done. She has been great with them and doing it all by herself for 2 years now!
I want to get my girls ears pierced too! Wyatt does care either way, and Hailey doesnt care....I think im going to wait until Hailey cares, even though I want her to care right now!!
Sadie got hers pierced when she was 6- for her birthday- we waited until she asked. maybe I can bribe Maggie with that- if she would only poop on the potty. I would do anything! I will have to suggest it!
I did Becky and Mckenzie when they were about two but I did do Tashena and Shaylee and Ta'merrra when they were babies. They didn't fuss with the earings then. Love reading your and your sisters blog
I got my girls done at the same time. Brooklyn really wanted it done to be like me, and Kirsten wanted to be like her big sister! Kirsten was almost 2. They love them and it made them happy so why not??

i wasn't allowed to get my ears pierced until 13 - had to be a real teenager...and i always thought that i would stick with that...i mean, look how i turned out - no fornicatin', pot smoking, drug dealing...nice clean girl. but then i lived in the dominican republic and some weird penchant for infants with fancy gold hoops worked its way into my brain...alas, charlie was born and i periodically fight the urge to find a potato and a needle and go to town...maybe i'll cave by the time she's four. maybe i'll do what you did - and wait until i need something out of her and bribe her with it...brilliance on your part. bb
My girls both want theirs done. We're going to make them wait until they're 16. I had to wait until I was 18 and didn't need my mom's permission anymore. She wasn't happy about it but I didn't care. She looks happy and cute. It causes problems that most of the kids my kids' ages have their ears pierced. I had problems with mine getting infected though so I want my kids to be old enough to deal with that if it is a problem with them.
Kayli what a fun idea Bunny cupcakes, and it looks like so much fun getting to hold real baby chicks too! :D Lucky little kiddos! I'm sure they had a blast! :D I love the little earings, and her cute little sparklies! What a little princess! :D
Hazel's earrings are adorable! I had to wait until I was 12 too! So glad your camera is fixed. I don't know what I would do without mine either. Your poem showed some extreme talent too.
Wow you're brave! I'm sure Morgan would get hers done in a heart beat, but I don't know if I'M ready for that yet! Loved the dresses - I kind of skimmed over the whole Easter outfits this year. Too much other stuff going on! I'm hoping to be more engaging in things this next year!
