So-- sad story, short: the box we mailed from Germany to United States which contained our computer never made it here. Lost, stolen-- I don't know. All I know is that 5 years worth of pictures is gone just like that. All our European travels. Two of my babies. Video of kids playing, learning to talk, etc., gone. I am fairly heartbroken.
WHY didn't we take out the hard drive with my pictures on it and carry it WITH us the entire way? I do not know (which hard drive, incidentally, I made Brett buy so that we would HAVE an extra copy of everything, but we never got to the point where we put it in a separate, safe place).
Yes, luckily there is my blog, however the pictures are much MUCH smaller and worse quality. But better than nothing.
Holy cow do I ever wish though that I had finished blogging about our trip to Croatia and Venice before getting overwhelmed with moving stuff and putting it on hold. So much sadness.
Anyway, happily, I did make a video of some of the picture s from Croatia, and I did put up seven pictures of Venice on Facebook. So I will post them here. And keep praying that someway, somehow, someday, I will maybe get my pictures back.

De lurking here, I bookmarked you for ideas on activities/hikes with children in Switzerland. I am so sorry about your package! I don´t want to get your hopes up, since it has already been a while. I mailed 2 packages from Germany once and one arrived 2 weeks later and the other 2.5 months later, looking like it has visited every post office on the way! It was nerve racking not being able to track where it was(and I didn´t even have any valubles in it), but I´m hoping it finds its way home, your pictures are too lovely to lose!
