Moab/Hanksville Weekend, March 2021

I really wanted to go canyoneering, so I just told Brett I was planning a getaway weekend for us for our anniversary, and I used my plasma money to get the (cheap) hotel and canyoneering guide. We goat to Moab and ate at a delicious Thai place.

We got up early and met our guide and drove down to Hanksville area and went to Leprechaun Canyon.

It was super fun. I love scrambling around and climbing.

Brett is super buff and could bridge across this pothole.

An added benefit of paying for a guide (besides having them know how to actually belay you on rappels and things like that) is that they can take a lot of pictures for you!

We got to this end point of the canyon right as the sun was exactly above the crack and it was amazing and shiny and beautiful!

And there were the loveliest angel rays.

Then, because we had done the canyon super fast, our guide decided we did have time to do another canyon, so we hopped over to Blarney and did that one too.

Then we went back to Moab, and Brett spent a little time the next morning seeing some of the nearby sites.

And I climbed up the arch.

It was a wonderful time! I enjoyed the canyoneering and being just with Brett.
