This is Korikancha. It is right near where we lived. Hazel, Ethne, and I did eventually go tour inside it, but not this day.
My goal for this day was to take fun pictures without boys to harass us, including one of ME with the traditional ladies and their alpacas and lambs, because I wasn't in the ones from before. And I thought--Kami had a picture with them-- if it were just me and Brett here on a trip, then I would take a picture, why not now? And voila!
And then we saw some more around the corner, and they were so cute that I wanted to take more pictures. So here's the first one, in the harsh sun,
so then I had us move to the shaded side of the street.
Then we went to Siete Borreguitos again, the most instagramable spot in Cusco,
to take lovely photos like this
and this.
And lots more because they're my daughters and I think they're so cute. :)
Hazel doing Jethro's signature pose cracks. me. up.
Then we wandered around San Blas area. It was a lovely day. I kind of wish we had moved to a different area, like maybe Arequippa, so that we could explore a whole different place, but I also love that after a while, we got familiar with Cusco a little bit. Bits and pieces of it, anyway. It was neat that it felt a little like home because we could recognize things and find our way around.
A little souvenir shop that had ties so we bought some. And Kami asked me to buy her a bull like this, so I did (but later and somewhere else).
Strongly considered buying a chess set with the Incas vs the Spaniards, but never did.

I think just wandering around the city was one of my favorite things. I love these pictures. I can't wait for my bull!
