Kami and Leo's family came to visit. They stayed over for a night or two, and we did lots of sledding.
And Jethro played catch with the football.
And they built an igloo on the jungle gym.
And we had snow ice cream.
And I had invited all of the couples in our family that lived nearby to a Roaring Twenties New Years party, but then the night of there was lots of snow and it was supposed to be bad, so several people didn't come, so it was only Mom and Dad, and Kami and Leo and Brett and I.
Kami sewed herself a period-accurate dress, of course. She's amazing.
We had people give impromptu speeches on a topic that they picked out of a hat. Dad was amazing. He could go on with never a pause, and totally make it to 1 minute, no problem. Plus he was funny.
This plant is named after Hazel! Not only Hazel, but Diane too (which is her middle name).
Trying on hats. I didn't buy either of these, which I kind of regret.
Time to sleep in the igloo! Brett blew up the air mattress and then was trying to fit it through the teeny tiny little door. Hahaa. The door was really tiny, so when you went in, you really had to slide through on your belly, but then it opened up and seemed spacious once you were in.
The boys decided to try it. I think they all lasted the whole night, except Talmage, who said he got pushed off the mattress and was getting wet.
I just went in to see it and say goodnight. Then I went to my nice warm bed.
Family Home Evening at Megan's house (seeing this now, during COVID, is kind of crazy).
