Some January things (more to follow).
It happened to be really warm and Talmage had been begging us to sleep outside for so long we finally caved in just to stop the constant drone in our ears. And it was fun.
Hazel got her braces off, and while we were waiting a few hours for the retainers to be made we went to a Chinese buffet and then to Lowe's to kill time.
Hazel and Navy modeled for all the house demo-things.
This one is the best (below)! I love Navy's head tilt. haha!
Brett caught a bird that was in the garage. He came and showed it to us.
Then it got away and flew around the house for awhile, which was highly exciting.
Wyatt had a birthday! He had a monster truck cake, and he and Orrin had a party together (because I'm a neglectful mother now, and neither of them have had a friend birthday party before!).
Friends came over and sledded and played in the snow.
Then they roasted hot dogs in the rain. I guess that was better than having the extreme negative temperatures that came later this month?
Our friends gave one of them a spirograph and everyone loved it, but especially Jethro and Brett. :)
I got stuck at the mailbox. :(
Some motorcycle sledding! Yay! The best winter activity!
The following pictures were from a particularly selfie Sunday, apparently. :)
Other January things not pictured- hmm, Jethro took his driver's license test and failed because he didn't signal going into or coming out of his parallel park (even though he did a good job actually parking). He's trying again this week. He works at McDonald's. He applied to four universities and will be graduating this spring.
Brett had two phone interviews with a company in Washington state. I'm hoping they ask him to come for an in-person, just so he can see it and see the area. He may not be interested after all, but it's a fun possibility to think of.
There were three days of school cancelled because of extreme freezing temperatures. It was cold. Then the next week (this week) there were highs around 64.
On the 5th I went to the temple with Tracie, Mandy, and Ashley. It was good to talk about how hard life and parenting can be, and then go try to absorb as much peace of the temple that I could.
What else? Regular life stuff. Except a lot of being a slug because it's winter. blah. I'm going to try to keep the blog going because I love having it to look back on. I'm going to try to ignore that there's an enormous gap of years, uggh.

LOVE!!! Yay!!! Your cake wasn't bad at all, I liked it! And you're beautiful!
Oh my gosh, they've all grown so much I hardly recognized some of the littles!
What? How is Jethro graduating?!!!! Where did the time go? And I barely recognize your three youngest boys—they’ve grown so much!!
