Talmage had a pretty sweet birthday party on Aug. 25. It was a Tough Mudder Run.
Unfortunately, some of the friends he invited had already started school, so we had many friends of all ages come. In their mud-ready clothing.
It starts off by running down the hill,
into the mud pit,
army crawl under the barbed wire (i.e. yarn)
jump the hurdle,
climb up and over the wall,
balance across the beam,
run up the hay bale pyramid and jump off the other side
crawl through the muddy tunnel,
go over the teeter-totter ramp-thingee,
climb the rope (or give it your best shot)
And you're done!
Tough girls!
Oh, and there was the classic tires to run through.
I love how Orrin looks behind Ethne here!!
Nice jump!
Definitely tough!
Ooooh, lookin' tough!
And he ran right INTO the rope. hahaha.
Mud fight!
I love it!
The girls started working on Ethne, and created a...
tree! Cutest little tree ever!
Can you spot Will up in the tree?
Apparently all that mud very quickly became itchy and uncomfortable, so we hosed them off and they changed, and then we rounded them up to sing 'Happy Birthday' and eat some mud cake.
I love all these guys!
Hope your eighth birthday was great, Mr. T!!
